It's a Wonderful Life

Lost money has the power to sour even the most wonderful relationships, but it can’t destroy a man’s character. At least not in the case of George Bailey, the protagonist in the 1947 holiday classic, It’s a Wonderful Life. The beauty behind Bailey, played by Jimmy Stewart, is that he’s an every man, not perfect by any means, and for that we all can relate to his struggles. When lost money drives Bailey to thoughts of suicide, an angel without wings visits our hero, showing him what life would be like if he wasn’t around. And for a man who constantly did for the good of everyone around him, constantly putting others before himself, this character we can all relate to inspires us all to want to rise up and be a bit more like him, generous and humble. Even the coldest of hearts will be warmed by viewing this uplifting tale of the human condition, so visit Seal Beach’s old-timey Bay Theatre on a Southern California cool winter night.
