This takes a haunting, straightforward approach to mourning the lives of those who have been killed in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. For the past four and a half years, the group has met every Wednesday in Laguna Woods in silence. No words are spoken at their gatherings because they believe the amount of tragedy caused by war and hatred are unspeakable. We aren't saying that attending this vigil will be a real uplifting experience, but it is something simple and powerful you can do to object to the wars, if you're so inclined. And please dress in black. Men are welcome, too.
