California Schools Can Now Sell Produce Grown In Their Gardens

The basic lesson “Money doesn't grow on trees” is becoming less pertinent, thanks to a bill signed by Governor Jerry Brown. 
AB 2367, authored by Assemblywoman Susan Bonilla (D-Concord), allows California schools to sell their garden produce and reinvest the money in their garden programs. The institutions, of course, must follow “applicable federal, state, and local health and safety requirements for the production, processing, and distribution of the produce.” This is California, after all.
