Isn't Sunday supposed to be a day of rest? With so many bands, DJs and people who don't have work on Monday (or at least not too early on Monday), it's no wonder Que Sera's weekly Sucka Free Sundays is as awesome as it is. Here's why: One, the cover charge is never more than five bucks-sometimes it's even free; two, DJs LJ and CJ spin '80s, '90s and whatever the hell they want; and three, there are always a couple of local bands lined up from the starving-artist, modern-bohemian category. Seriously, what's not to love? This week's lineup features folk sweeties Alyssandra Nighswonger, Davis Sinclair Robison and the acoustically charming Boris Smile. You should smile, too, because the weekend just got a little bit longer. Suckas need not apply.
