Orange County's known how awesome chef Amar Santana's been for years, ever since he moved to the county to be the debut executive chef at the now shuttered Charlie Palmer in Costa Mesa. And when he opened his own restaurant? A grand success, as evidenced by all of these different links, so it's been a tragedy that not more people have heard of him.
Well, no longer! Santana will be on Bravo's Top Chef next season as one of the 17 contestants.

This season starts on Dec. 2 and will take the chefs all through California, with stops in Oakland, LA, Santa Barbara, San Diego, San Francisco, and Palm Springs. To prep, check out all of the things we've written about Amar Santana here, and check out the video below.
