Chef Laurent Brazier of Laguna Culinary Arts has opened a French restaurant in Costa Mesa's SoCo called Bistro Papillote. It's taken the space of the defunct Seventh Tea Bar in The OC Mix, one of the first food halls in OC, which (if you don't already know) also hosts the highly-lauded Taco Maria and the excellent tapas bar called Pueblo.

Bistro Papillote serves croissants for breakfast; croque monsieurs, escargots, and duck pate for lunch; and filled crepes and quiches for, um, whenever.
It debuted about two weeks ago and is open daily 9 to 11 a.m. for breakfast, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. for lunch, and for crepes, coffee, and beverages only until 6 p.m. For dinner? Well, you're still covered; you're still at the OC Mix. See Taco Maria and Pueblo.
