Being a chef sometimes means moving from one kitchen to another. In the case of Chef Ross Pangilinan, it means expanding to his third property in less than three years. Initially departing Leatherby’s Cafe Rouge to launch Mix Mix Kitchen Bar, he brought things full circle last year to open Terrace by Mix Mix at South Coast Plaza. Now, Pangilinan is ready to cross the line over to Los Angeles County. Per Chef,
We are really excited to get started in Long Beach. This will be our biggest project yet, building the restaurant from the ground up. I think we have something great to offer at LBX and Long Beach. We have some great people working at both Mix Mix Kitchen Bar in Santa Ana and Terrace by Mix Mix in Costa Mesa, so this will be a collaboration and a Remix of what our team is currently doing.
ReMix Kitchen Bar will not only incorporate the worldly elements Pangilinan is known for, but it will offer a three-course express lunch (which sounds reminiscent to one he experimented with in the early Mix Mix days). As one of the final occupants of The Hangar food hall, current completion is estimated for fall of this year. Congrats on the new space!
ReMix Kitchen Bar will be located inside The Hangar at Long Beach Exchange (LBX). 4150 McGowen St., Long Beach; www.longbeachexchange-lbx.com/thehangar.
