Sadly, the majority of Italian culture we’re exposed to these days comes in the form of the Real Housewives of New Jersey marathons and Dominos Pizza delivery (hopefully together!). The Italian Cultural Society and Bowers Museum, however, aim to change all that by hosting a screening of Mafioso, the acclaimed Italian film (with subtitles!) about an Italian man who goes to visit some Sicilian family members only to realize that he owes a certain “organization” (spoiler alert: the Mob) an outstanding favor. Will he kill or be killed? Only sitting through this movie will tell. So head to Bowers Museum for this Sunday screening of Mafioso, an Italian classic that might soon replace spaghetti on your list of favorite things from the country shaped like a boot.
