The latest spectacle from performing arts supergroup Cirque du Soleil doesn't have quite as obvious a theme as past productions, but Totem astounds and delights, nonetheless. The show (which is about human evolution, by the way) offers up an array of visual delicacies: there are beautifully costumed reptiles and mammals, a sparkly disco-ball of an alien presence, goofy clowns, doll-like unicyclists, hoop-dancing Native Americans, and a whole flock of breathtaking aerialists. Once again, Cirque du Soleil has created a feast for the eyes. This may be our favorite Cirque program to date—when the roller-skating couple gets on that little drum and…well, when you see it, your jaw will smack the floor.
Thursdays-Sundays. Starts: Nov. 21. Continues through Dec. 29, 2013
