Clint Black hasn’t put out a proper studio album since 2005’s Drinkin’ Songs and Other Logic nor a release of any kind since the 2007 compilation The Love Songs , so what’s he doing performing this week at the Grove of Anaheim? Whatever he wants—duh! With 22 No. 1 hits, Black remains one of country’s biggest names, even if he has been recently filling his time with things such as competing in Celebrity Apprentice (he finished fifth last year, demonstrating superior business acumen over the likes of Khloe Kardashian and Andrew Dice Clay) and acting in the movie Flicka 2 (what? You missed it?). Also, it’s December, and Black has written a couple of albums’ worth of original holiday tunes—see where this might be going?
