Even if you weren't born in the Regan era, chances are you've heard the 1981 Men at Work single “Down Under.” The deep raspy voice of singer Colin Hay combined with the fluttering sound of a flute is one of those songs distinctive enough to trigger Pavlovian-style associations. Even though the Australian band broke up in 1985, singer Hay continues to perform songs from the band as well as his solo work. Judging by the videos posted of live performances on his Web site, the guy sounds as good as ever and as an added bonus, he has a self deprecating humor as evidenced by the quips he delivers between songs. It's good to know this man is still at work.
