Most people go through a phase in their life during which they are afraid of commitment. This phase is known as “the attractive years” and usually ends around the time they realize all the good ones have gotten married already. Bobby, the main character in Company , is just such a man, and unlike the rest of us, his hound-dogging ways are elevated from philandering to high art through the music and lyrics of Stephen Sondheim. There's nothing Sondheim couldn't sweeten up, from gruesome fairy tales ( Into the Woods ) to desanguination ( Sweeney Todd ). And in the more-than-capable hands of the Hunger Artists Theatre Company and director Susan Marx, Company promises to be one musical you'll want to cook breakfast for in the morning.
