Hot dogs are pretending to be crusts at Pizza Hut. Pizzas are infiltrating fried chicken on KFC's Chizza. So why not pizza in a cone? Yes, there's a pizza shop that specializes in cooking and serving its pizza in a hand-holdable cone.

We got an e-mail from the owner of something called Coneizza yesterday. He informs us that his just opened in Laguna Hills Mall and believes his is the only pizza cone joint in California. He may be right. The concept of pizza in a cone, which is already a thing in Malaysia and India, is also coming to the US by way of an Italian franchise called Kono. Kono apparently has been serving pizzas in cones for the last decade in Italy, but he only US locations of it so far are mostly east of the Mississippi.
Thanks to Coneizza you don't have to wait for Kono to come to California to have your cone pizza. Coneizza's menu has about four set pizzas: one with BBQ chicken; a meat-lover's with bacon, sausage, pepperoni, and meatballs; a vegetarian pizza cone; and a Hawaiian. You also have the option of choosing your own toppings…or is it more appropriate to call them “stuffings” now?
