As Gustavo reported back in January, Judy Fleenor of Cafe Chiarini fame was planning to open a new restaurant called Crave on 4th Street in the former Tommy Pastrami space. The restaurant has now opened (actually, it opened about a month ago).

Featured are house-made pulled pork sandwiches, overstuffed omelets,
made-from-scratch cookies, fresh-baked sourdough bread, and sandwiches
made from said fresh-baked bread. There seems to be vegan and
gluten-free options too.
You would have to conclude that Cafe Chiarini, which was beloved but short-lived (it closed mysteriously after only a year), has risen again. Let's hope that Crave lasts quite a bit longer…much longer.
