May is National Bike Month! (Yeah, news to us, too.) But with the bike culture ever growing, the Cyclone Coaster Monthly Vintage Bike Ride is one of the largest in the country. Riders with all types of bikes are welcome to join, though the organizations states that most cycles will be pre-WWII cruisers. It's a relaxed, leisurely ride around the LBC for about two hours (meaning if you're en route via automobile, you might get stuck in a herd of about three hundred bicycles). The Cyclone Coaster ride begins with a meet-and-greet at Portfolio Coffee House before departing at 10:30 a.m. sharp. Take a palm tree-flecked cruise through the bike-friendly city of Long Beach on a candy-colored cruiser—not a bad way to spend a Sunday morning.
