Few can describe life’s beauty with the elegance of a poet. Even fewer can deliver those words aloud before a live audience. The Damn Slam LA spoken-word performance-poetry team hopes to inspire and educate people through its words each time it performs. The team’s members represent all walks of life and have read statewide (and will nationally, too, during the 2011 Boston/Cambridge National Poetry Slam later this year), delivering their messages of life, love, struggle, redemption and strength.
