Dead Man's Bones is More Than Just Ryan Gosling's Band

Dead Man's Bones, the recording project of actors Ryan Gosling and Zach Shields, would be hokey (a kids' choir? ghosts? cemeteries? REALLY?), but the duo has produced incredibly beautiful music, on their debut self-titled album, released late last year via Anti-. Today they released a music video for their song, “Pa Pa Power.” It's sad and creepy and cool. Check it out after the jump.

According to Pitchfork, Gosling and Shields bonded over a shared obsession with scary stuff like ghosts, monsters, and zombies, and set out to create a spooky musical theater production, “a Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire kind of show.”  They also decided to involve children in Dead Man's Bones from the very beginning.

They're also performing at FYF fest this Saturday.
