This time of year celebrates the odd, the obscene and the scary. While it’s true there’s nothing more frightening than death, the holiday also allows us to celebrate—this unique and beautiful observance of departed spirits offers the opportunity to pay homage to loved ones departed. Celebrate those you’ve lost at Westminster Memorial Park Mortuary during their Dia De Los Muertos celebration featuring live Mariachi music, dance performers, raffles, food, face painting and children’s activities. Families are also encouraged to bring photos and stories of loved ones, as well as candles, sugar skulls, muertos (the bread of the dead) or marigolds (the flowers of the dead) to add to the altar. This All Souls Day, take a break from the horrific and remember your dearly departed at this peaceful and fright-free gathering.
