While a few folks may come to William Tell's upcoming O.C. shows expecting to fulfill their French opera jones, what they'll actually find is a Mission Viejo singer-songwriter who has done something corporate in two very literal ways. First, by playing rhythm guitar in power piano pop punk band Something Corporate, and second, by schilling solo for brands like American Idol, Coca-Cola, Macy's, Milk and Krystal Burger. With his first release, You Can Hold Me Down , fans got a taste of the solo soul he always intended to be, as he offered up raw emotional lyrics about first loves gone sour, the breakups that ensue, and all the manic crap that follows, set to seductive hooks and intoxicating melodies. What came out was a McSteamy love scene soundtrack waiting to happen. So now maybe he'll settle for doing something a bit Hollywood.
