All Irvinites know that the town is a hot dog desert. If a hot dog's what you want and nothing else, it's either Burntzilla or Jerry's Wood-Fired Dogs–your pick. But, with Dog Haus coming to town, you'll at least have one more option (and thank goodness it's a good one).
Dog Haus' first Orange County location is in Main Place Mall in Santa Ana (its decor is so hip you'll instantly forget you're at, well, Main Place) and its second is in Fullerton. No specific details of the new location have been released, but we're hoping for the same sleek industrial interior and hefty hot dogs.

Now, Dog Haus is the opposite of Burnzilla, though they use similar buns. For around $6-$7 you'll get a big hot dog filled with a lot of toppings (for those who will order anything with caramelized onions on it, you'll love it here.) Their most popular dog is the Haus Dog Soo Cali, a dog topped with arugula, tomato, crispy onions, and spicy basil aioli. The Old Towne Dog, which is topped with roasted jalapeƱos, caramelized onions, chipotle mayo, and cotija cheese, is also noteworthy, and a good go-to order for any spice aficionado. All of their dogs come with their house skinless dogs, but you can substitute it for any of their other sausages like Kung Pao Cajun or the Thai-influenced Another Night in Bangkok.
