Themes including life, death, bullies and homosexuality are explored in the Long Beach Playhouse production of Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead, the directorial debut of Sean Gray. Focusing on the experiences of a young man bereft over the loss of his canine companion, the play promises to question the role society plays in placing an inordinate amount of value on a teen’s need to fit in.
Thursdays-Sundays, 8 p.m. Starts: May 26. Continues through June 18, 2011
