The greatest poet of the last century, Dr. Seuss gave generations of children a wealth of delightfully otherworldly tales—and though it's difficult to pick a favorite, the story of the green Grinch who steals holiday goodies from the people of Whoville, a town of endless cheer, is a top contender. This live-action version of the classic (and lets just forget about that whole Jim Carrey mess back in 2000, shall we?) is a musical explosion of color and artistry—it's such an aesthetic eyeful, Dr. Seuss (and maybe even Mr. Burton) would be elated to see the final result. Narrated by Max the Dog, the tale stays loyally true to its literary predecessor—so come sing along to “You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch” and let your heart grow a size or two.
