For one riotous night, Costa Mesa’s Detroit Bar will transform itself into Dubs & Dimes, a “funk cancer beatdown” featuring Jayski (Bridges LA/DP Sound), Ogertron (Missingtoof), Faded Tequila Wormz, Y-Not, Snail, and Joe Knox doing a little live percussion and drums. Plus, there will be clothing giveaways from sponsors Crucial, Templeffectives and Civil, not to mention several photographers roaming the party to document the swirling mass of hip-hop, electro and dubstep. What about the Dimes? Well, it could mean one of two things: a reference to the one-dollar-only donation cover charge, or…we’ll have to wait until November to see if we can legally tell you.
