Early Bird Cafe, Fullerton's neighborhood diner serving up dishes that speak to the soul (hello, pork belly benedict with Sriracha hollandaise), is opening a second location in Yorba Linda, complete with a full-service coffee house. It is expected to open this fall.
According to Early Bird's Facebook page, the coffee roastery will be the first of its kind in North Orange County.

“As you know, Steve [Sims] already sources only the highest-grade coffee beans from across the globe – which results in the freshest and best coffee offered at any breakfast establishment in OC. But in addition to our current drip service, we'll employ state of the art brewing techniques including a V-60 pour-over bar, siphon bar, traditional drip and, of course, a killer espresso machine – all operated by intensively trained baristas (you'll appreciate this!). At the coffee bar we will also be offering to-go coffee, whole beans and grab-and-go breakfast and lunch items, as well as plenty of space to just hang out.
It's all about elevating the idea of the second-generation coffeehouse right here in North Orange County. I think we finally earned the right to enjoy the highest quality and freshness that only single-cup craft brewing can bring.”
They'll also be announcing some additional stand-alone Early Bird coffee roasters in the coming weeks, all in North Orange County.
The restaurant will also offer brunch and dinner service. Early Bird Yorba Linda will be located at 21550 Yorba Linda Blvd.
