CHEAT DAY LAND (CDL) pop-up museum is a celebration of the foods we all dream about and all deserve after a hard week’s workout. The interactive experience officially opened on Sunday, April 7th at the Irvine Spectrum Center in Orange County. Since then, Irvine residents and visitors have had the opportunity to join the fun and feel as VIP themselves.
At the new location, the pop-up museum features a new line of colorful and mouth-watering displays, workout zone, and an exclusive and luscious shop. Guests of all ages can ride a mechanical hot dog, snap photos in a life-sized bowl of cereal, climb up a wall of donuts, try on a hamburger dress, and slide through a large poop emoji.
The concept of the museum comes from people who share a love for food and art and includes unique installations from Los Angeles based artists. Founder and creative director, Rubi Rymenmy was inspired by Japan’s interactive museums to mix immersive art with all of her favorite “Cheat Day” foods. Rubi’s family owns Art Flying Aerial fitness studio in Lomita, California and they are all involved in this creative endeavor. “We created Cheat Day Land as a place where kids can have fun and where adults can bring out the kid inside of them. My friends all thought I was crazy but here we are, I’m thrilled with our success,” explains Rymenmy.
Locals and tourists are encouraged to hurry and visit the CDL website for more details on the event and the extended dates. After all, tickets to the broadened celebratory experience are expected to sell out in no time.
