Segertrom Center for the Arts returns to the late 1800s and early 1900s for a period in American theater where variety reigned. Vaudeville mixes theater with dance, music, comedy, acrobatics, animals—you name it—to create unrelated acts that come together into one magical performance. New York’s Drama Desk Award-nominated Parallel Exit Company revives the once-popular vaudeville style with its performance of Exit, Stage Left. The troop uses visual storytelling and creative choreography to create a work of art that entertains both children and parents alike. Exit, Stage Left is part of the Center’s Family Series, which encourages families to experience live theater together; it falls under the Discovery Series that is designed for children between the ages of 4 and 8.
