Putting yourself out there creatively can be a terrifying and humbling experience, while the negative reactions of critics and audiences can leave you feeling alone and worthless. Perhaps it is fitting then, that Long Beach-local and performing artist Katie Faris has titled her latest performance art piece “Feral Child.” The piece, currently at Found Theatre, explores the juxtaposition of the civilized world and the world of animal instinct through the perspective of a young woman with psychotic issues. A small cast of players each bring to life an aspect of the character’s unhinged personality to depict a girl undone and the uniqueness of her untamed mind. Let yourself go wild for this new artist’s unique and imaginative work.
