Accepting reservation inquiries starting Friday, the oily restaurant concept blocked two full weeks for friends and family visits, training and final touches to their first OC space before their official first day. With locations in New York and Los Angeles, the newest addition to Fig N Olive's family was a score for Fashion Island. Designed to offer both dining and retail space, the 12,000 square foot establishment will complement their neighbors at Red O with the flavors of Spain, Italy, France and the Riviera.
Utilizing olive oil instead of butter in their meals, waitstaff will dish out fig gorgonzola tartlets and zucchini carpaccio among other sharable plates. Thirsty folks will love the 20+ wines by the glass, while a chocolate pot de creme will satisfy anyone's sweet tooth.

Dinner service commences the 20th, with lunch and brunch hours coming next month. They will be located at 401 Newport Center Drive, Suite 151. Or as I like to refer to it, that part of the mall no longer under construction.
