Filmage: the Story of Descendents/All is a documentary about the band who emerged from the era of the Sex Pistols and dazzled young fans with songs about caffeine, flatulence and rebellion. Most folks already know about the Descendents’ hardcore sound, rife with insanely catchy pop hooks, and co-opted by the likes of Green Day and Blink 182. But Filmage goes deeper, taking the time to examine drummer Bill Stevenson's struggles with a brain tumor as well as the departure of singer Milo Aukerman, who famously went to college (and holds a doctorate in biology). Hear the voxman talk about the two voices in his life that called him to the puerile world of punk rock and to the world of science. And if you ever get a chance to see the band live, check ‘em out—still every bit as good as they were, before they got old.
