We don't set out to post every burger monstrosity that Slater's 50/50 creates. Really, we don't. But then a new one comes around and it's so damn hard to avoid it. It taunts us with its over-the-top layers of gluttony and as we begin to salivate, there's just no way we can click “close.”

So, folks, here's the latest. Behold, the Fire Burger, the restaurant's burger of the month for June. It's made with Slater's 50/50 famous bacon and beef patty blended with their signature fire mix, then topped with melted chipotle gouda, habanero bacon bits, guacamole, a fried egg so beautiful it hurts and house-made jalapeño jam sour cream, all on a brioche bun.
On the heat scale, it seems to be several notches below the 50 Alarm Burger, a creation so hot it required gloves and a waiver. Good thing, because three OC Weekly staffers tried that one last year and this is what happened.
In other Slater's 50/50 news! Its Rancho Cucamonga location is opening on July 1. More bacon for all.
