Signing of the Craft Beer Manifesto at Downey Brewing Company
Pledge your support for small and independent craft breweries by signing the Craft Beer Manifesto, which reads, “I declare myself to be a devoted acolyte, enthusiast and fanatic, and that setting high standards for quality and character in the beers I drink is not snobbery, but good taste.” Downey Brewing Company will be releasing three special craft beers for attendees. Founder's Day at Anaheim Brewery
Bavarian-born Friedrich Friedrich ran Anaheim Brewery for 35 years back in the 1800s. This year, he would have turned 164, and the brewers have made a birthday beer called Conrad's Kolsch to celebrate. The party, which runs from 4 to 10 p.m., will also include hot dogs, a German pretzel guy, and Brewcakes for dessert.
