Long Beach Adult School's Ray Sharp has been hosting this weekly film night for some time now, presenting frequently obscure gems to an appreciative audience of local cinephiles. This week's selection is a two-fer: Min and Bill , featuring Marie Dressler and Wallace Beery, and Tillie and Gus , a W.C. Fields/Alison Skipworth feature. Sure, these films might not have the fancy-shmancy special effects of those modern blockbusters, but what they lack in whiz-bang brouhaha, they make up for in charm and class. Why, when we were kids, we had to walk eight miles in the snow to the Friday Film Forum, and we were glad to do it. You kids today!
