It’s been a busy album cycle for the Oxford, UK-based rockers, Foals. After releasing their third album, Holy Fire, in February, the band spent much of the past year on the road, playing both headlining and festival shows literally all over the world. With 2013 winding down, Yannis Philippakis and company return to the US to continue spreading their infectious brand of indie-rock-meets-dance-punk. With the strength of singles “My Number” and “Inhaler,” the group successfully transitioned from a popular act in their homeland to international buzzband. In a year when they’ve racked up enough frequent flyer miles to make a business traveler blush, Foals show no signs of letting the rigors of the road slow down their rep as one of the most exciting live bands to emerge this year.
