What’s left for Curt Pringle in his former fiefdom of Anaheim? The ex-mayor lost his grip on city hall two years ago when the debut of district elections narrowly denied him a council majority of sycophants for the first time since being termed-out in 2010. The following year saw Curt Pringle and Associates, his influential lobbying firm, undergo a shakeup with the key departures of two longtime vice presidents, the apex of an employee exodus that continues.
But nothing quite dramatizes the fall from grace of the Dark Lord of Anaheim politics like him packing up and moving out of town.
Before June’s primary elections, the only “for-sale” sign outside on Pringle’s old lawn read “Kring for Supervisor” in boosting the failed bid of Anaheim councilwoman Lucille Kring. A month later, the moving trucks arrived to haul off furniture and other belongings. Now, an actual for-sale sign swings in front of the Dark Lord’s estate–a 1950’s ranch-style home in south Anaheim just outside Garden Grove, the city that originally spawned Pringle. See, not all of Anacrime’s aristocracy hail from the Hills!
The former mayor (and 2015 Bob Dornan Scary OC Hall of Fame inductee!) originally bought the home in 1996 for $215,000. Listed on the market since July 22, whoever buys Pringle’s old pad at its $950,000 price will definitely inherit nice digs thanks to remodeled kitchen and bathroom. The backyard features a patio, sparkling pool and spa. No doubt, this is where Pringle entertained the self-proclaimed “masters of the universe” in better days.
Those good times are gone for now, at least after Aug. 28. The Weekly obtained an invitation from Pringle to guests for a farewell fundraiser that day. “Since we care about Anaheim so much—we are using our ‘last supper’ to raise money for Anaheim City Council candidate and our dear friend, Mitch Caldwell!” the invitation reads. “Dinner at our Anaheim house will never happen again.” Caldwell is running in District 3 against incumbent Jose F. Moreno and Pringle is hoping his love for barbecuing will bring $500 donations to Caldwell’s campaign coffers.
Hey Curt–throw some carne asada, cebollitas and longaniza from Northgate Market on the grill for me, wontcha?
While all pathetic OC blogs can do is speculate about Anaheim mayor Tom Tait, a former Pringle ally-turned-rival, leaving the “city of kindness” behind for a purchased property in Laguna Beach after terming out this year, the Dark Lord is definitely on the move. Just like the fundraiser invitation announces, Pringle is trading his home for the past 22 years for a $1.5 million dollar Mediterranean single-story abode in Cowan Heights.
The Weekly confirmed the new address through County of Orange property records. Cowan Heights, an upscale neighborhood in the imaginary realm of “North Tustin,” is technically in Santa Ana. Yes, this means that Pringle, the whitest man alive, is now officially a SanTanero!
Apologies: To paraphrase a certain pendejo-in-chief, Anacrime’s not sending their best!
Gabriel San Román is from Anacrime. He’s a journalist, subversive historian and the tallest Mexican in OC. He also once stood falsely accused of writing articles on Turkish politics in exchange for free food from DönerG’s!
I recently tried CBD gummies from this website https://www.cornbreadhemp.com/products/full-spectrum-cbd-gummies for the blue ribbon leisure and was pleasantly surprised past the results. Initially skeptical, I start that it significantly helped with my anxiety and doze issues without any noticeable side effects. The oil was effortless to speak, with legible dosage instructions. It had a kindly, shameless grain that was not unpleasant. Within a week, I noticed a marked upgrading in my overall well-being, feeling more serene and rested. I comprehend the ingenuous approach to wellness CBD offers and plan to continue using it.
