There's mean, and then there's mean . Based solely on her outlandish appearances on numerous Comedy Central roasts, it's safe to say Lisa Lampanelli falls into the latter category. The 46-year-old was performing in the club circuit when guest spots on the Howard Stern Show took her from struggling comedian to in-demand professional insulter. Lampanelli soon found herself on the dais for roasts of Pamela Anderson, Flavor Flav, William Shatner and Jeff Foxworthy, parlaying that success into a 2008 Grammy nomination for the record Dirty Girl . Lampanelli's humor ranges from personal issues such as her love of black men to inappropriate-yet-hilarious usage of non-politically correct terms for Asians, homosexuals and just about every other group imaginable. A lesser comedian would find themselves in a slew of trouble for the things Lampanelli says onstage, but she is given a free pass because she observes the golden rule of comedy: Funny is funny.
