Gianna Gianna, the unmistakable blonde from BLOK, is celebrating two milestones at the Detroit Bar on Thursday: she's turning 21 years old and releasing her first book. All Encompassing is an exploration of metaphysics and philosophy through the young local musician's poetry. The book-release party will offer copies of her book for sale along with a free copy of her solo song, also called “All Encompasing.”
Gianna Gianna: It came from an overflowing surge of creativity and the need to share and provide truth, which is always love. I feel a lot of people lose faith in values and morals because of perpetuated prejudices and stereotyping, formed to protect themselves, and eventually conform in some way or another to survive. So, I'm just here to spread art, love and consciousness. To encourage others to live and thrive. I live what I preach. I am exactly who I say I am, with no exceptions. It's the only thing that feels right to me.

What are some detailed examples of what you wrote about?
This book is my perspective of the understanding of upper-level
consciousness. It's sneaking metaphysical philosophy, positive ideals
and inspiration through poetry, visual art and packaging (including me,
who I am) through my perspective.
I always write. My drafts folder in my cell phone is just filled with
poetry; I get inspired everywhere. It only took about a week, give or
take, to complete the physical book. It's not that fancy — completely self- published. Though I will be selling copies at the Lab in Costa Mesa and
several art galleries in the Los Angeles area.
“I'm never a feminist solely based on the name;
excluding a gender, even in title, is in vain.
Pretentious in labeling, in you – me; we're all the same.
Everyone – 'female' + 'male';
in each we all contain”
Because we, you and I; us all, are all encompassing beings.
It's a solo song I wrote (non-BLOK-related) just to further express love
and art though a different means of communication, through song.
Yes, actually, I have tons and tons of poetry I am constantly writing on philosophy. I plan to keep writing and sharing love.
Well, there will definitely be some yum yums, a special live act and, who knows, maybe a special appearance by yours truly. 😉
I may sound like a stickler when it comes to authenticity and self-
expression, and I say, “hell, yeah, I am.” I'm also a good time . . . and
everybody likes a good time.
From my perspective: Just be, act and thrive in love.
