Let's hold a candle to one of the original pioneers of electronic dance music, Mr. Giorgio Moroder. This OG record producer and DJ is best known for helping a generation of listeners envision the future of music with his elaborate synthesizers, most specifically with the queen of disco, Donna Summer. Since then he's crafted a career of artistic collaborations, like last year's collab with Daft Punk, and film scores, like Midnight Express and Scarface. Now Moroder takes to DJ'ing around the world, like tonight at the post-Pacific Fest show at the Observatory. Who knows where EDM would be today without his influence?
