Taco Bell's new, limited-time-only Beefy Crunch Burrito sounds like the culinary creation of a drunken frat boy.
Dude, you know what would be awesome in this burrito? Flaming Hot Fritos. Fuck yeah!
That's exactly what it is–a burrito stuffed with seasoned ground beef, nacho cheese, sour cream and those famous stomach-churning-but-oh-so-addictive red corn chips.
It's sort of genius.

I tried it.
Being Flaming Hot Cheetos obsessed (and I mean obsessed–I think
my fingertips are permanently stained red), I knew I had to try the
thing. Plus, friends keep emailing me links to the burrito with the
subject line, “You have to try this thing!”
It's pretty good if you're in the mood for something totally disgusting,
which I often am. It's got a yummy creaminess to it and the Fritos add a
flavorful, semi-spicy crunch. And it's only 99 cents.
I don't think I'll have another (no fast food in the new year–um, right),
but I do believe Taco Bell is onto something here with this Flaming Hot
partnership. I've always thought someone should bottle that magical red
powder so we can sprinkle it on everything–eggs, rice, noodles,
burgers, ice cream perhaps?
Will Flaming Hot chips be the new bacon in 2011? I can only hope.
