Depending on who you ask, the holidays start at different times. For some, it’s the moment they hear Christmas music on the radio. Others will swear by Pumpkin Spice Latte season. For us, it’s when the extra special specials are advertised. A perfect example is over at Habana Irvine. It may simply be coincidence, or to celebrate their one year anniversary, but an abundance of sweets definitely signifies holiday cheer in our book.
Kicking off this week, the dessert bar will be offered Tuesday through Thursday, from 4 p.m. to close in the main dining room. For only $12 (and the purchase of an entree), dine on unlimited Cuban-inspired pastries and confections. Treat someone mid-week for their birthday, or plan an expected date nite and avoid the weekend crowds. Heck, go and treat yourself— because you deserve it. Our personal favorite, Plantain Flambe made to order! Think tableside Bananas Foster, but even better.
Now while they can’t fit all their offerings on the dessert spread at the same time, we did request an itemized list of their potential options. Are you ready?
- Churro Cubano – with multiple sauces, fillings, and sugars to accompany
- Ice cream – Fresh Mint, Mango Strawberry Sorbet, Butter Pecan, Rum Raisin, etc.
- Seasonal pie – Pumpkin, Apple, for example
- Mini Flan
- Fresh Fruit
- Bread Pudding Cup
- Chocolate Cake
- Dulce de Leche Brownie
- Mini Cafe Cubano
- Berries and Cream in martini glasses
- And the Plantain Flambe
Think of it this way, a sugar rush at dinner is cheaper than boozing it up at the bar! Enjoy.
