Chevrolet, I swear to flipping Holy Gord, used nostalgia for the NASA space program, which is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, to “reveal” the 2020 Corvette Stringray inside a blimp hangar in Tustin Thursday evening that was filled with media, automaker officials and current Corvette owners.

I’ll have much, much more on our unrevealing reveal experience–from details about the first mid-engine Vette in 60 years to my infiction of a slight concussion to the fellow sitting in front of me to the highway robbery the Irvine Fucking Marriott gets away with–in next week’s Ride Me column.

OC Weekly Editor-in-Chief Matt Coker has been engaging, enraging and entertaining readers of newspapers, magazines and websites for decades. He spent the first 13 years of his career in journalism at daily newspapers before “graduating” to OC Weekly in 1995 as the alternative newsweekly’s first calendar editor.
