From now through Sunday, participating restaurants and bars across the country think outside of the proverbial box for Negroni Week. As a result, numerous charities benefit, as a portion of sales of every designated Negroni sold will go to a worthy cause of their choosing. Parched participants can attend an opening party, visit a local watering hole or do both. What’s your poison?
Tonight’s festivities begin at 6 p.m. and include tastes from six of Orange County’s favorite bars convening at Mesa, competing to be your winning cocktail. Light appetizers are also included in the purchase of your ticket. If you are not able to attend, there are many other opportunities to celebrate.
Destinations as far north as Brunos Italian Kitchen in Brea to points south such as The Blind Pig (adjacent to Rancho Santa Margarita Lake) are all a part of the fun. Charities represented include James Beard Foundation, Inspire Artistic Minds and Boys & Girls Clubs Of America. Our preferred destinations happen to be Casa (Costa Mesa), Broadway by Amar Santana (Laguna Beach), Pizzeria Ortica (Costa Mesa), Anepalco (Orange), Bosscat Kitchen And Libations (Newport Beach) and SideDoor (Corona del Mar). However, a complete listing can be narrowed down by starting point and radius through the Negroni Week website. Cheers!
