The Improv chain celebrates a milestone this weekend: 50 years of comedy stars, up-and-comers, comic wannabes and two-drink-minimums. The institution has kept America laughing for half a century, and to celebrate, Improvs around the country host special guests and performers. The Brea chapter welcomes comedian Aries Spears to its stage for a three-day standup spree. Spears, a Chicago native, started his comedy career as a teenager and became a familiar face in entertainment during his many years on Mad TV and a part in Jerry Maguire—but his list of comedy shows and specials is simply too long to list. Spears is a comic heavyweight—and the perfect choice to headline such a momentous anniversary for our favorite comedy house.
