The organizers of Garden Grove's annual Indie Film Fest have constructed the most unique kind of film festival not centered around Hollywood-style red carpets or big-budgeted fare, nor Academy Award- buzzworthy treats, but mostly independently-financed and produced movies created as passion projects and/or ambitious student films. This year's fest brings over one hundred eclectic titles to check out such as: Valor Cat, Lady Marmalade— Out of the Blue, I'm In Love With The City, Tea +Cake, Here's Jane and more, screened at Strawberry Bowl Amphitheatre and Village Green Park on historic Main Street. And the grand recipient of this year's Charlie Chaplin award is none other than sci-fi icon George Takei. Skip the Netflix tonight and chill with some new, undiscovered flicks.
