Here's something to make you pause and wonder: What am I doing with my life?
That's because you are not the chocolatiers at Qzina Specialty Foods in Irvine. They did what no man has done before, which is build an 18,239-pound ancient Mayan temple out of chocolate.
It took more the team more than 400 hours to create the massive cavity-inducer, which we really hope stays away from the sun.

The masterpiece not only accurately captures the intricacies of an authentic Mayan temple down to the exact number of steps, but it broke the Guinness World Record for largest chocolate structure, surpassing the previous record by more than 7,500 pounds. A Mayan theme was chosen for the crucial role the culture played in the origins of chocolate. See more photos of the temple on Qzina's Flickr site.
If you wanna get a glimpse of the chocolate pyramid, it will be displayed at the Qzina Institute of Chocolate & Pastry in Irvine starting June 4. Qzina plans to destroy the chocolate sculpture on December 21, when the Mayan calendar comes to an end. There's gonna be a whole lot of chocolate chips.
