We like to poke a little fun at Irvine for being a master-planned, vanilla-flavored utopia, because, well, it is. But I'd be hypocrite if I didn't say that I actually do a lot of my eating here. I am also embarrassed to say that after writing about it in posts like these for the past four years, I actually have never been to the Irvine Global Village Festival that the city hosts every year for the past 11 years. This might change this weekend…but regardless of whether your humble blogger attends or not, it does seem like a fun gathering.
