Have you been wondering what your kids and other young people will want to blow their disposable incomes on next? Judging by recent openings, the next new trend to follow cupcakes, frozen yogurt and boba drinks will be the shaved frozen milk dessert called snow.
]
Popularized by Class 302 and already offered by other OC restaurants such as Boiling Point and Balcony Grill and Bar, this Taiwanese innovation is now inspiring more and more dedicated stores that focus on selling the dessert–one that has frozen blocks of flavored milk being shaved into soft ribbons and topped with fruit, chocolate syrup, nuts and other sweets.
We already told you about Flurries Shaved Snow Bar, which opened in Cypress two months ago. Now there's a purveyor called Snow Station that just debuted in Westminster at 9938 Bolsa Ave. and by June there will be Snow Monster, also in Westminster at 9600 Bolsa Ave, less than a few blocks away.
Other prospective shaved snow entrepreneurs are sure to follow. But they should hurry–the best names are still up for grabs. Snow Job looks to still be available.
