The pride of Long Beach rock is a Spectoresque Wall of Sound with a setup that finds the stage groaning under an array of musicians manipulating xylophones, keyboards and tambourines. Lead singer Gabriel Hart sports a romantically deep, resonant voice that hints at Diamond Dave Somerville or perhaps even Nick Cave. Bonus: He’s flanked by two comely lasses singing backup, usually sporting glittering sequined gowns and reminiscent of the Ronettes. Be my baby, indeed.
