Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller Somehow Back in Prison

Jason “Mayhem” Miller

Stop us if you’ve heard this before: an Orange County judge has sentenced former MMA fighter Jason “Mayhem” Miller, 38, to a year in prison for “smashing a large marble table at his girlfriend’s La Habra residence and violating a protective order to stay away from her,” according to this July 19 California News Wire Services story.

I know, we were shocked too! It seems like only yesterday (okay, it was February 2017) when Miller’s defense attorney told jurors that his client was trying to turn his life around. And it seemed like it would happen, too, when those same jurors found Miller not guilty of two counts of felony domestic violence as well as a misdemeanor count of violating a restraining order.

That it in itself kinda surprised us, given that Miller’s attorney told the following to jurors on the first day of the trial:

“You’re going to see some pictures that are known in the colloquial as dick pics. … You’re going to see pictures of Mr. Miller’s penis in this case. They have a provocative sex life, threesomes, sex parties, rough sex, choking, peeing, golden showers. Golden showers are when someone gets peed on… They have some of that that night. Mr. Miller urinates on her in the shower. He pees on her. There is no choking or anything like that. They have some fun.”

But no. Just two months later, Miller cut a plea deal on another matter entirely, pleading guilty to battery, resisting arrest, assault on a peace officer and various other felonies and misdemeanors.

“I’ll serve my time with my head held high,” Miller told an Orange County Register reporter. “I’ll straighten up and fly right.”

Then there was the time when Miller allegedly attacked a woman at the Saddle Ranch Chop House in Costa Mesa (if you click here, you’ll see more on that arrest, as well as our collection of Mayhem booking photos). We can’t really find an instance of Miller pledging to stick to the straight and narrow path (or some other cliche) in that case but you get the idea.

Anyway, last week Miller pleaded guilty to a “felony count of vandalism and a misdemeanor count of violating a protective stay-away order,” California News Wire Service reported. “Miller has been in custody since his arrest Oct. 19 for smashing the table and punching holes in and removing doors from the home and derailing the garage door, according to prosecutors.”
