Why I Bought It:

Hippos! Complete with nostrils and eyes! These chocolate biscuits are perhaps the most detailed representation of an animal as a cookie yet. They blow plain old animal crackers out of the water. And there's the fact that they're filled with stuff. There's actually a schematic in the back which outlines the 4 different layers of its components: crispy wafer biscuit, cocoa creamy filling, milk creamy filling, and tasty meringue coating. Some effort was expended to designing and manufacturing these.

Tasting Notes:
Imagine an ice cream cake cone that's been filled with Nutella and coated in chocolate cookie crumbs. That's what these hippos remind me of most. What I didn't expect was how much of that filling there is. There seems to be almost enough to spread on toast. And the snack is also one of the messiest I've ever eaten. I consumed mine over the sink. Buy them for your kids at the peril of your upholstery, your carpet, their clothes, or anything else nice you'd rather keep chocolate off of.
