Are you a little monster? Do you enjoy simultaneously shallow and elaborately dressed performance art pop sirens?
Lady Gaga has descended from the sky and touched an elegantly platformed foot–perhaps filled with gold fish or the essence of rainbows–on the streets of Los Angeles. The self-proclaimed pop icon will be playing two sold-out shows at the Staples Center starting tonight.

In honor of the event, the Los Angeles Times released some statistics
on the stratospheric career of the songstress which no doubt will make
Madonna's rope-y muscles quiver from fear of being eclipsed by fresher talent.
Among the more impressive facts:
- The hits on her
official YouTube/Vevo channel combine to 667,070,854–of course
by now that number is higher. - Ironically, Gaga has also been nominated
this year for the most MTV Video Music Awards ever totaling 13. This of
course begs the question, who's watching MTV for the videos anymore? - Lady Gaga's digital singles have sold 18.1 million.
- There will be 15 costume changes during the concert.
